Andhra Pradesh Police have filed a case against former Minister and YSR Congress Party leader Jogi Ramesh for allegedly making objectionable remarks about Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh. A complaint by a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader led to the registration of the case at Ibrahimpatnam Police Station in NTR district. Additionally, police have registered a separate case against TDP activists who attacked Jogi Ramesh’s house in Ibrahimpatnam.
Another case was registered based on a complaint by a police official, citing public nuisance, illegal assembly, and an attack on the house. The activists gathered outside Jogi Ramesh’s house to protest against certain remarks he made about TDP leaders. They removed banners, entered the house, vandalized it, and set furniture on fire. YSRCP leaders claimed that petrol bombs were used during the attack.
Jogi Ramesh was not present at the house during the incident but visited late on Sunday night. This event occurred following a similar attack by TDP activists on the residence of another former minister and senior YSRCP leader, Ambati Rambabu. The tension escalated as TDP supporters gathered outside Rambabu’s house, causing damage to the property, vandalizing vehicles, and setting some on fire.
