Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu revealed plans for an integrated Aqua Corridor connecting key cities in the state to boost the aqua sector. The corridor aims to foster research, innovation, and technology in aquaculture, enhancing productivity and reducing costs. This initiative aligns with the state’s vision of becoming a hub for India’s blue economy.

Union Ministers, including Piyush Goyal and Rajiv Ranjan Singh, joined Chief Minister Naidu at a national workshop on seafood exports. The state government is dedicated to creating a supportive ecosystem for aqua sector development. Additionally, a branding initiative called “Andhra Shrimp, India Seafood” was launched to promote Indian seafood products globally.

Chief Minister Naidu emphasized the importance of the blue economy in achieving national development goals. He highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s significant contribution to India’s aqua and seafood industries, stressing the state’s potential for driving economic growth through sustainable practices. The Chief Minister also called for increased investment in seafood processing infrastructure and technology adoption to propel the sector forward.
