Veteran actor Anil Kapoor, famous for his iconic ‘Jakaas’ dialogue, shared on “The Kapil Sharma Show” that many people send him photos of auto rickshaws with his posters featuring the signature catchphrase. Rajkummar Rao also recounted a childhood memory of fighting over the seat with Anil Kapoor’s picture under auto rickshaw seats to be considered as Anil Kapoor.
Anil Kapoor, along with daughter Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, appeared on the show to promote their movie “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga,” a 2019 coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar. The film’s story is inspired by the 1919 novel “A Damsel in Distress” by P. G. Wodehouse.
The movie features Anil, Sonam, and Rajkummar in lead roles, with Juhi Chawla, Regina Cassandra, and others in supporting roles. “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga” narrates the story of Sweety Chaudhary, a closeted lesbian navigating her conservative Punjabi family. The title of the film is derived from a song in the 1994 movie “1942: A Love Story,” also starring Anil Kapoor.
