Veteran social activist Anna Hazare has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to establish ministerial accountability and engage in constructive discussions with youth and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk regarding recurring national examination leaks and student issues. Hazare stressed that holding ministers accountable for systemic irregularities would showcase administrative strength rather than weakness. He highlighted the importance of sending a clear message to all ministers that failure to fulfill responsibilities would result in resignations, enhancing government accountability and efficiency.

Hazare pointed out a common trend in public administration where junior officials face consequences during scandals while senior leaders take credit for successes. He emphasized that the top leadership bears the ultimate responsibility for departmental failures. Mentioning the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Hazare raised concerns about serious paper leak allegations affecting nearly 2.2 million candidates and leading to the loss of 22 young lives due to re-examination uncertainties.

Expressing dismay over the handling of public grievances, Hazare criticized the use of force by the administration instead of engaging in meaningful dialogues. He advised against viewing public discontent as solely a law-and-order issue and encouraged the government to address concerns through democratic values and open discussions. Hazare urged PM Modi to listen attentively to protesting students and parents, fostering trust and resolving systemic issues collaboratively.
