Acting on directives from the Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters in Jaipur, the Anti-Corruption Bureau Outpost in Dholpur apprehended Birendra Kumar Sharma, a Patwari, for accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant. The complaint alleged that despite a lawful property transfer, Sharma demanded the bribe for processing the name transfer in revenue records.
Following discreet verification, the Anti-Corruption Bureau substantiated the allegations against Patwari Birendra Kumar Sharma. A trap operation, supervised by Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr. Rameshwar Singh, was conducted on 25.02.2026, resulting in Sharma’s arrest while accepting the bribe.
The accused Patwari was caught red-handed during the operation, with the tainted money recovered from his room. Legal procedures were promptly carried out on-site by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, and Sharma is currently being interrogated under the oversight of Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava.
A case has been filed against the accused Patwari under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, with ongoing investigations by the agency. The Anti-Corruption Bureau emphasizes its dedication to upholding transparency and integrity in public administration, urging citizens to report corruption instances promptly.
