Anvita Khammam Aces, led by skipper Himateja Kodimela’s unbeaten 80 and G. Sai Krishna Reddy’s half-century, scored 211/2 in 20 overs. Ved Reddy and Wafi Kachchhi’s disciplined bowling helped the Aces win by 34 runs against Anurag Nalgonda Knights in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s TG20. This victory moved them to fourth place on the points table, pushing them into the playoff spot.
Himateja’s 80 runs placed him second on the Orange Cap standings with a total of 282 runs, while Ved secured the second spot on the Purple Cap standings with nine wickets. Aces made a strong start with Paras Raj and Wafi Kachchhi’s partnership, reaching 51 without loss at the end of the powerplay. Paras’ aggressive batting and Wafi’s support set a solid foundation for the team.
After a wayward opening over, Aces continued to build momentum with Paras and G. Sai Krishna Reddy. Paras anchored the innings, hitting boundaries and a six, while Sai Krishna provided support. The Aces accelerated their scoring rate, with Himateja taking charge after Paras’ dismissal. The duo’s attacking play in the death overs propelled the team to a formidable total of 211/2.
In response, Anurag Nalgonda Knights started well with Jashwanth Mote and Gaurav Reddy’s partnership. Gaurav’s aggressive batting, including two sixes, set a brisk pace for the chase. However, disciplined bowling from Aces, especially Ved Reddy, restricted the Knights’ progress. Despite a promising start, the Knights faltered in the second half of the innings, falling short by 34 runs.
