Apple has introduced Apple Business, a comprehensive platform designed to assist companies in managing devices, providing essential apps, and accessing expert support efficiently and securely. This new platform includes built-in mobile device management, enabling easy configuration of employee groups, device settings, security, and apps through Blueprints. Moreover, businesses can now establish business email, calendar, and directory services using their own domain name for seamless communication and collaboration. Apple Business is set to launch on April 14 in over 200 countries and regions.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Enterprise and Education Marketing, described Apple Business as a significant advancement in the company’s commitment to supporting businesses of all sizes in utilizing Apple products and services for their operations and growth. The platform consolidates Apple’s key business offerings into a single, secure platform, providing essential features such as built-in device management, collaboration tools, and avenues to reach new customers.
Apple Business integrates built-in mobile device management (MDM), offering organizations a comprehensive overview of their Apple devices, settings, and more through a unified interface. Initially available as a subscription in the U.S. within Apple Business Essentials, this platform aims to simplify IT processes, even for small businesses lacking dedicated IT resources. It introduces new Blueprints for easy device setup with preconfigured settings and apps, ensuring consistency, security, and enabling zero-touch deployment for employees to use new Apple products immediately.
Additionally, Apple Business offers options for purchasing enhanced iCloud storage and support through AppleCare+ for Business. A companion Apple Business app will enable employees to install work-related apps, access colleague contact details, and request support conveniently while on the move.
