Actor Arjun Kapoor commemorated his 14-year journey in Bollywood as his debut film “Ishaqzaade” marked another year since its release. Sharing sketches of memorable scenes from the movie, Arjun expressed that his character Parma still holds a special place in his cinematic voyage, hinting at exciting upcoming projects. Directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra for Yash Raj Films, “Ishaqzaade” featured Parineeti Chopra as the female lead, alongside Gauahar Khan, Natasha Rastogi, Anil Rastogi, and Shashank Khaitan in supporting roles.
“Ishaqzaade” is a remake of the 2009 Bengali film “Dujone,” portraying the love story of Parma Chauhan (played by Arjun) and Zoya Qureshi (played by Parineeti) from rival political families in Almor, Uttar Pradesh. The film’s narrative delves into their intense romance, challenging societal religious barriers. While this movie marked Arjun’s debut, it was Parineeti’s second project post her initial film “Ladies vs Ricky Bahl” in 2011.
Looking at Arjun’s recent endeavors, his appearance in the romantic comedy “Mere Husband Ki Biwi” with Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar did not fare well at the box office. Arjun is yet to reveal details about his upcoming projects. Notably, he portrayed the main antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again,” earning praise for his role in the police drama.
