Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth, accompanied by spouse Komal Seth, visited President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Gen. Seth, who recently assumed office as the 31st Chief of the Army Staff, emphasized his commitment to duty, honor, and the nation. During a meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, he outlined plans to enhance the Army’s capabilities and readiness. Gen. Seth highlighted the Army’s preparedness to address various security challenges and stressed the importance of modernizing the force to adapt to evolving threats.
The Army Chief expressed his vision for a technologically advanced and agile Army capable of operating in diverse domains. He introduced the concept of the ‘Decade of Transformation’ with a focus on vigilance, innovation, jointness, and self-reliance. Gen. Seth outlined his priorities using the acronym ‘VIJAY’, emphasizing the significance of vigilance, innovation, jointness, self-reliance, and the welfare of personnel in shaping the Army’s future.
