He reassured the nation of the Army’s unwavering support in advancing the country’s interests. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also honored the courageous soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War, acknowledging their bravery and determination in the face of adversity.
Singh, speaking at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, praised the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army in repelling the enemy’s deceitful attack. He highlighted the sacrifices made by soldiers to defend the nation’s honor and pride. The day marks the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s triumph in the 1999 war and honoring the sacrifices of the 527 soldiers who laid down their lives during Operation Vijay.
