Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth paid tribute to the brave martyrs on the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, expressing full support of the Indian Army for the nation’s progress. At the event in Dras, Ladakh, he emphasized the Army’s commitment to raising the country’s flag even higher. General Seth highlighted the importance of Defense Minister’s presence as a source of inspiration for the Indian Army’s future endeavors.

On this significant day, General Seth shared a poignant poem penned by a soldier from his unit, underscoring the unparalleled valor of Indian Army warriors. He reassured the nation of the Army’s unwavering support in advancing the country’s interests. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also honored the courageous soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War, acknowledging their bravery and determination in the face of adversity.

Singh, speaking at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, praised the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army in repelling the enemy’s deceitful attack. He highlighted the sacrifices made by soldiers to defend the nation’s honor and pride. The day marks the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, commemorating India’s triumph in the 1999 war and honoring the sacrifices of the 527 soldiers who laid down their lives during Operation Vijay.
