Army Marksman Wins Gold at Shooting Championship in Bhopal

Army marksman Ganga Singh secured a gold medal in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the 24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship in Bhopal. He scored 357.8 in the final to claim the top spot on the podium. Arjun Babuta from Railways took the silver medal with a score of 356.9, while Swapnil Suresh Kusale, also from Railways, grabbed the bronze with 343.7. Army’s Sidharth Gaur finished fourth with 332.3 points.

In the qualification round, Harjas Singh from Punjab led the field with a score of 586-25x, followed by Rudrankksh B. Patil from Maharashtra with 584-31x. Arjun Babuta secured the third spot in qualification with a score of 584-28x, and Swapnil Kusale finished fourth with 583-31x.

The Haryana pair, Kamaljeet Choudhary and Surbhi Rao, emerged victorious in the 10m Air Pistol Senior Mixed Team ISSF event at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. They topped the qualification round with a score of 576-17x and clinched the gold medal in the final with a score of 476.6. Karnataka’s Mamith N Gowda and Divya T.S. settled for silver, while ONGC’s Amanpreet Singh and Shweta secured the bronze.

Adriyan Karmakar from West Bengal claimed the junior men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions title with a score of 360.2 in the final. Vedant Nitin Waghmare from Maharashtra topped the qualification round, followed by Adriyan Karmakar. Rajasthan’s Prince took the bronze, and Maharashtra’s Vedant Nitin Waghmare finished fourth.

In the 10m Air Pistol Junior Mixed Team ISSF event, Rajasthan’s Yogesh and Mohini secured the gold medal in the final. Haryana’s Shiva and Navya topped the qualification round but settled for bronze in the final. Karnataka’s Avanthika and Jonathan claimed silver, while the Army duo of Sunny and Lakshita finished fourth.

Rajasthan’s Girish and Bhavya clinched gold in the 10m Air Pistol Youth Mixed Team ISSF event. Delhi’s Tanish and Manyata secured silver, and Uttar Pradesh’s Chirag and Prajna finished fourth. Madhya Pradesh’s Yugpratap and Aaradhya won the bronze.
