The investigation into the alleged Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak has progressed with the arrest of Suman Kumari, the wife of the suspected mastermind, Bijendra Gupta, in Patna. Authorities are questioning her regarding her involvement in the exam paper leak and related financial transactions. Suman Kumari’s arrest is part of a broader effort to uncover the network behind the leaked TET question paper.

Police suspect that Suman Kumari may have played a significant role in managing financial transactions associated with the alleged paper leak scheme. They believe she maintained communication with her husband, Bijendra Gupta, and other accomplices even after the exam paper was compromised. Investigators hope that her interrogation will help track the money flow and identify additional individuals linked to the case.

Prior to Suman Kumari’s apprehension, three other suspects, Rajiv Shah, Akash Kumar, and Dheeraj Kumar, were taken into custody in Patna and Haryana. These arrests, based on information from the Maharashtra Police, have shed light on Bijendra Gupta’s alleged central role in orchestrating the paper leak network. Efforts are underway in multiple locations to locate and apprehend Gupta, who hails from Bihar.

Bijendra Gupta’s father, Baleshwar Gupta, expressed shock at his son’s involvement in the case, mentioning that the family had lost touch with him years ago. Bijendra Gupta, who has a history of criminal cases, is believed to have been involved in previous paper leak incidents, including cases related to NEET-UG and the Odisha Staff Selection Commission examination. The ongoing police investigation is focused on unraveling the full extent of the alleged malpractice.

Maharashtra Police teams are actively pursuing leads in Bihar to capture the alleged mastermind, Bijendra Gupta. The investigation involves scrutinizing financial records, communication logs, and the roles of other suspected network members. Authorities have hinted at potential further arrests as they gather more evidence related to the examination misconduct.
