The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Jaipur has issued arrest warrants for four individuals linked to the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scam. Among those facing warrants is former IAS officer Subodh Agarwal. The ACB is conducting raids to locate and apprehend the accused, who are currently on the run.
The arrest warrants were issued in connection with a case registered in 2024 at the ACB Court. The court specifically named Subodh Agarwal, along with Jitendra Sharma, Sanjeev Gupta, and Mukesh Goyal, in the warrants. Efforts to track down the accused are being intensified by the ACB through coordinated raids at various suspected locations.
If the accused individuals evade arrest, the ACB plans to take legal action to seize their properties as per the law. The ongoing investigation into the JJM case involves alleged irregularities in projects under the mission. The ACB had previously conducted raids in multiple states, uncovering evidence of fraudulent billing and procedural violations.
ACB officials have seized relevant documents during the investigation and affirmed that the probe is ongoing. The teams are actively pursuing leads to gather more evidence and arrest the accused individuals. Further steps in the case will be determined based on the investigation’s outcomes.
