Arshin Kulkarni scored his second List A century, leading Maharashtra to a 128-run victory over Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group C. Kulkarni’s 114 off 114 balls, supported by Prithvi Shaw’s 71, set the stage for Maharashtra’s win. Despite early setbacks for Mumbai, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 66 and Ramakrishna Ghosh’s quick 64 propelled Maharashtra to 366/4.
Mumbai’s chase faltered as they lost early wickets, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Musheer Khan departing cheaply. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Siddhesh Lad’s partnership provided some resistance, but Mumbai’s middle order collapsed. Despite Raghuvanshi’s valiant 92, Mumbai fell short and were bowled out for 238. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand also secured wins in thrilling encounters.
Pukhraj Mann’s brilliant 134 went in vain as Chhattisgarh chased down Himachal Pradesh’s total. Aanjaneya Suryavanshi’s unbeaten 115 led Uttarakhand to victory over Goa. These results added excitement to the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy matches.
