Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu highlighted the importance of universities as links between academic knowledge and practical experiences. Speaking at the Arunachal Panorama event, he reiterated the government’s dedication to educational reforms, including the National Education Policy and Mission Shikshit Arunachal. The Chief Minister praised investments in school upgrades, hostels, and educational quality enhancement over quantity expansion.
Addressing a diverse audience at the cultural festival, Khandu lauded the celebration of Arunachal Pradesh’s cultural diversity and unity at the event. He commended Rajiv Gandhi University for upholding the festival tradition since 2006, showcasing the state’s cultural richness. The Chief Minister appreciated the creative performances and collaborative efforts of students and artists at the event, emphasizing the importance of platforms like Arunachal Panorama in presenting the state’s cultural diversity.
Reflecting on Rajiv Gandhi University’s role in shaping human resources since 1984, Khandu acknowledged the significant contributions of its alumni across various sectors. He expressed confidence in the current generation’s ability to carry forward the legacy towards national and state development goals. Emphasizing the evolving educational landscape, he stressed the importance of holistic development beyond academic learning, including sports, co-curricular activities, and technological adaptability in the era of artificial intelligence.
Encouraging responsible technology use and entrepreneurship, the Chief Minister highlighted initiatives like the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park to support aspiring entrepreneurs. He noted the state’s progress in the startup ecosystem and urged youth to become job creators. Khandu also discussed plans to enhance youth participation in the Armed Forces, improve infrastructure, and establish new educational institutions across Arunachal Pradesh.
