Arunachal Pradesh Governor Emphasizes People-Centric Governance

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) highlighted the importance of ensuring that government programs benefit the people, especially those in remote areas. He stressed that governance should focus on citizens’ welfare and translate into real improvements in their lives. The Governor urged officials to ensure that Central and state government initiatives reach all eligible citizens.

During an interaction with district Heads of Departments and Gaon Burahs in West Kameng district, the Governor emphasized the need for administrative reforms to directly impact people’s lives. He discussed various issues like tourism, education, and drug abuse with community members and officials. Lt Gen Parnaik called for active public participation to achieve the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

The Governor highlighted the importance of people’s involvement in governance, stating that the youth are crucial for the country’s future. He emphasized the need for strong leadership, responsive governance, and community engagement for inclusive development. Lt Gen Parnaik called for innovative approaches and better coordination among departments to address emerging challenges and improve public service delivery.

Lt Gen Parnaik emphasized the role of Gaon Burahs as key intermediaries between the administration and local communities. He expressed concern over the rising drug abuse among youth and called for collaborative efforts to combat the issue effectively. Local leaders and community members shared their perspectives and suggestions for the region’s development and welfare during the interactions with the Governor.
