Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd) urged graduates of the NIT to cultivate problem-solving skills aligned with the country’s requirements. Speaking at the 12th Convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Arunachal Pradesh, he emphasized the importance of applying technical knowledge for societal and national progress.
He advised the students to focus on developing technical expertise along with innovation and to embrace adaptability and continuous learning. Lt Gen Parnaik (Retd) stressed the significance of ethical values, social responsibility, inclusiveness, and sustainability in their professional decisions.
The Governor highlighted the graduates’ potential to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development goals, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and leadership. He commended NIT Arunachal Pradesh for its role in providing quality education and serving as a hub for innovation and solutions in the region.
Lt Gen Parnaik (Retd) expressed confidence in NIT Arunachal Pradesh’s ability to address local challenges, promote sustainable development, and nurture skilled and socially responsible professionals. He underscored the institute’s role in delivering high-quality technical education, conducting research, and driving innovation aligned with societal needs.
The Governor awarded the Institute’s Gold Medal to department toppers, while the Chairman of the Board of Governors presented the Chairman’s Gold Medals. Guest of Honour Prof. T.G. Sitharam and Chairman Ramesh Kumar Sarogi also shared their insights at the event.
