At a Village Defence Committee oath ceremony in Moga, Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann emphasized the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign, accusing the Shiromani Akali Dal, BJP, and Congress of allowing narcotics to thrive in the state. Kejriwal highlighted the government’s actions against drug peddlers, including seizures of 2,000 kg of drugs and the imprisonment of major traffickers.
The leaders warned against reverting to previous regimes, stating it could lead Punjab back into the drug crisis. Mann reiterated AAP’s commitment to eliminating the drug menace through a mix of enforcement and prevention strategies, such as developing sports grounds and creating job opportunities for youth.
Both leaders described the anti-drug campaign as pivotal for governance in Punjab, aiming to restore trust and opportunities in the state. Kejriwal recalled the initial skepticism among the people but noted the increasing trust as the government cracked down on drug activities and traffickers.
