AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, calling it immoral and unlawful. Owaisi expressed condolences to the Shia community, who revere Khamenei as their leader. He denounced the recent attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, particularly during ongoing talks between Iran and the US in Geneva.
Owaisi highlighted the severity of the situation, mentioning that over 200 people, including 108 girls from a school, have lost their lives in the attacks on Iran. He urged for an immediate cessation of hostilities to prevent further destabilization in the region. Owaisi emphasized the need for India to intervene and work towards ending the conflict, especially considering the significant Indian workforce in Gulf countries.
Expressing concern for Indian nationals affected by the conflict, Owaisi mentioned reports of Indian workers being injured at an Oman port and stranded Umra pilgrims facing financial difficulties due to flight cancellations. He warned of escalating turmoil in the region if the war persists, labeling it as an illegal and unnecessary conflict. Owaisi also criticized Israel and Pakistan for their aggressive actions in their respective regions, citing instances of Israel’s attacks on Iran and Pakistan’s actions in Afghanistan.
