Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted his government’s focus on development in the Barak Valley and expressed confidence in the increasing support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Upper Assam. He stressed the significance of decentralized governance, mentioning the state’s strong emphasis on the region’s progress. The Chief Minister noted the establishment of a dedicated department for the welfare of the Barak Valley and efforts to bring governance closer to the people.

The Assam Secretariat in Silchar was highlighted as a key step towards enhancing administrative efficiency, symbolizing the government’s commitment to proximity to the citizens. CM Sarma emphasized ongoing development projects in the Barak Valley and dedicated the Secretariat to the region’s residents, underscoring the government’s focus on inclusive growth and balanced regional development.

In another post, the Chief Minister discussed the enthusiastic response to the BJP’s campaign in Upper Assam, noting significant public participation in areas like Khowang, Duliajan, Makum, Digboi, and Tinsukia. He attributed the high turnout to the people’s strong belief in the BJP and its governance track record in the state. Sarma reiterated the party’s pledge to preserve Assam’s identity while creating more job opportunities and fostering youth growth.

Amid intensified campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections in Assam, the BJP leaders are striving to consolidate support across regions through development-oriented communication and outreach efforts.
