Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the CM-FLIGHT initiative to equip young individuals with foreign language skills, aiming to enhance their access to global job opportunities. The program, focusing on training in foreign languages, targets more than 50 students in its initial phase, currently learning Japanese with plans to expand to Korean, German, and other languages. Sarma expressed satisfaction with the participants’ progress and highlighted the initiative’s role in preparing Assam’s youth for international placements.
The CM-FLIGHT initiative forms part of Assam’s strategy to enhance youth employability by providing industry-relevant skills and language proficiency crucial for overseas job markets. Officials aim to create a pool of globally competitive professionals from Assam, ensuring candidates possess the necessary communication skills and cultural understanding for successful international careers. The program is set to evolve in phases, introducing additional languages and specialized training modules based on global workforce demands.
