Right-arm pacer Auqib Nabi shone with his seventh five-wicket haul of the season, helping Jammu & Kashmir bowl out Karnataka for 293 in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Final. This performance gave Jammu & Kashmir a significant 291-run lead after the first innings at the Hubli Cricket Ground.
Karnataka started their innings cautiously in response to Jammu & Kashmir’s total of 584, managing only 27 runs in the initial ten overs. Auqib Nabi’s tight bowling led to breakthroughs, including a crucial wicket of Rahul caught by Kanhaiya Wadhawan.
The pressure intensified on Karnataka as Nabi’s strikes removed key batsmen like Karun Nair and Smaran Ravichandran, leaving them struggling at 57/4. Despite a fighting century by Mayank Agarwal and partnerships, Jammu & Kashmir’s bowlers continued to chip away at the Karnataka lineup.
Mayank’s valiant 160 off 266 balls was a standout, but Auqib Nabi’s five-wicket haul, including the dismissal of Mayank, and support from other bowlers helped Jammu & Kashmir bundle out Karnataka for 293.
