Australia remains the leading team in the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings, holding onto the top spot despite a slight decrease of two rating points to 163. England follows in second place with 128 rating points, still trailing Australia by a significant margin.
India continues to secure the third position in the rankings with 126 rating points, maintaining their top-three status globally. This standing comes after India’s remarkable performance in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, where they clinched the title with a historic victory over Australia in the semi-finals.
The top six in the rankings remain stable, with South Africa at 100 points, New Zealand at 93, and Sri Lanka at 89, completing the unchanged upper echelon. Bangladesh has progressed to seventh place with 73 rating points, surpassing Pakistan, which now holds the eighth spot with 72 points.
Thailand and the Netherlands have temporarily exited the rankings due to not meeting the requirement of playing a minimum of eight ODIs in the past three years. Thailand is one match away from re-qualifying, while the Netherlands need two more ODIs to re-enter the rankings.
The Indian women’s team faced Australia in a recent ODI series, losing all three matches despite their World Cup victory. The annual rankings update will continue, with the ICC Men’s and Women’s T20I Team Rankings set for release on May 5, followed by the Men’s ODI Team Rankings update on May 7.
