Australia will be heading to Bangladesh for their white-ball tour with some key players missing due to injuries and availability issues. Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, and Tanveer Sangha are notable absentees from the ODI series. Marsh is recovering from an ankle injury and will join the squad for the T20I series, where he will lead the team.

Head has been granted personal leave, causing him to miss the entire Bangladesh tour. Sangha is also out due to a hamstring injury sustained during the Pakistan tour. In their absence, Todd Murphy, Ollie Peake, and Matt Short have been included in the ODI squad to fill the void left by Marsh, Head, and Sangha.

Josh Inglis will continue as captain for the ODI series, leading a mix of experienced players and emerging talent. The selectors decided not to rush Marsh back into action, hoping for his full recovery before the T20Is. Australia sees this tour as crucial for building squad depth ahead of upcoming Test assignments against Bangladesh, South Africa, and New Zealand.

The absence of Marsh and Head opens doors for young talents like Ollie Peake and Matt Short to showcase their skills. Xavier Bartlett and Ben Dwarshuis have joined the ODI squad, with Riley Meredith expected to return for the T20Is. The tour schedule includes three ODIs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium and three T20Is at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium.
