Australia’s Beth Mooney has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings following her stellar performance in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Mooney, who was instrumental in Australia’s seventh title win, scored 238 runs at an average of 47.60 and a strike rate of 142.51 during the tournament.
Known for her consistency in crucial matches, Mooney played pivotal innings in the semifinal against the West Indies and the final against England. Her unbeaten 61 in the semifinal and a match-winning 64 in the final solidified her position at the top of the rankings.
Mooney’s resurgence at No. 1 displaces her opening partner Georgia Voll to the second position. This marks Mooney’s fifth time at the top of the T20I batting rankings, with only Karen Rolton having held the position longer. South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, Hayley Matthews, and India’s Smriti Mandhana follow in the rankings.
Among the notable movers in the latest rankings are South Africa’s Tazmin Brits and England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt. India’s Sree Charani leads the bowling rankings after an impressive World Cup performance, while Australia’s Kim Garth and England’s Freya Kemp made significant strides in the rankings.
