Ellyse Perry of Australia has been outstanding in the tournament, scoring 185 runs at an average of 46.25 and taking four wickets at 7.50. She received three Player of the Match awards during Australia’s journey to the final, showcasing her all-round skills. Danni Wyatt-Hodge from England enters the final as the top run-scorer, accumulating 294 runs at an impressive average of 73.5 and providing strong starts for her team.
India’s Smriti Mandhana, the sole nominee from a team that did not make it to the semi-finals, scored 205 runs at an average of 41, including two half-centuries. Despite India’s exit, Mandhana’s performances were noteworthy. Marizanne Kapp of South Africa, the final nominee, played a crucial role with both bat and ball, scoring 124 runs and taking eight wickets during South Africa’s journey to the semi-finals.
The Player of the Tournament will be revealed after the Women’s T20 World Cup final between England and Australia at Lord’s on Sunday.
