A one-day awareness program took place in Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh, organized by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department. The event aimed to educate PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries about the various benefits available to them. Participants, especially women, received training, toolkits, QR codes, and guidance on entrepreneurship, loans, and e-commerce during the session held at the District Panchayat Office.
The program witnessed a significant turnout with numerous beneficiaries attending the event. Information was shared on entrepreneurship, financial aid, e-commerce, skill development, marketing, and loan processes. CEO of District Panchayat, Srijan Verma, encouraged beneficiaries to make the most of government schemes, distributing tool kits and training certificates through India Post.
Notably, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana aims to uplift artisans known as Vishwakarmas, connecting them with development opportunities and fostering self-reliance. This scheme targets artisans engaged in traditional occupations like blacksmithing, goldsmithing, pottery, carpentry, and sculpting, preserving age-old traditions through mentorship and training.
Officials from various departments and around 200 beneficiaries, including women, participated in the program. Women attendees expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the supportive schemes designed for them. Beneficiaries shared their positive experiences, citing training, toolkits, and certificates received under the Vishwakarma Scheme.
