Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is set to lead the cast in Yash Raj Films’ new project “Mupapa.” This collaboration between YRF and Posham Pa Pictures marks their first joint venture for a theatrical release. The film, produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani, is scheduled to hit theaters on February 19, 2027, under the direction of Sameer Saxena.
Yash Raj Films’ spokesperson has confirmed that “Mupapa” is part of a strategic move by Aditya Chopra to establish a fresh creative business model at YRF, spearheaded by CEO Akshaye Widhani. Described as a genre-defying cinematic experience, “Mupapa” aims to captivate audiences with its innovative visual storytelling on the big screen. Ayushmann Khurrana’s role in the film is expected to bring a unique and visually stunning narrative, promising an engaging and thrilling experience for viewers.
In his recent project, the romantic comedy “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do,” Ayushmann Khurrana shared the screen with Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film, released on May 15, 2026, is a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit “Pati Patni Aur Woh.” Ayushmann, reflecting on his character Prajapati, highlighted the comedic yet challenging situations his character faces, bringing laughter and unexpected twists to the storyline.
