SS Rajamouli’s re-edited masterpiece Baahubali: The Epic is set to make this Christmas memorable for cinema enthusiasts. After its theatrical re-release on October 31, the film is now arriving on Netflix on Thursday, December 25, 2025, bringing together one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated franchises in a unified format.

Single Narrative Experience

Baahubali: The Epic merges Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) into a seamless 3-hour-43-minute presentation. The re-edited version eliminates the gap between the two films, offering viewers an uninterrupted journey through the complete Mahishmati saga. According to the synopsis, the film follows a warrior’s quest to reclaim his throne after his father’s betrayal, presented now as one cohesive narrative.

Netflix Streaming Details

While Netflix India has not officially announced the release on social media platforms, the streaming app already lists Baahubali: The Epic as arriving this Thursday. The digital premiere caters to both longtime fans wanting to revisit the saga and new audiences who missed the original theatrical runs.

The consolidated version maintains all storylines and sequences from both original films, crafted to enhance the storytelling experience without interruption. This approach allows viewers to immerse themselves fully in the grandeur and drama that made the franchise a cultural phenomenon.

Beyond The Epic

The film’s closing moments reveal an exciting announcement for franchise enthusiasts – Baahubali: The Eternal War, an upcoming animated project directed by Ishan Shukla. This expansion demonstrates the enduring appeal of Rajamouli’s creation and the franchise’s evolution into new formats.

The theatrical re-release on October 31 served as a precursor to this digital premiere, testing audience appetite for the unified version. The strong anticipation for the Netflix release reflects the franchise’s continued relevance in Indian cinema.

Rajamouli’s Next Chapter

Following the success of Baahubali and RRR, SS Rajamouli is currently developing his next ambitious project – a film set in Varanasi starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Scheduled for Sankranthi 2027 release, the project marks another high-profile collaboration for the acclaimed director.

Baahubali: The Epic premieres December 25, 2025, on Netflix, offering a Christmas treat for viewers seeking epic storytelling and visual spectacle.
