The Shri Badarinath Kedarnath Temple Committee responded promptly to a complaint about alleged donation theft at the Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand. Chairman Hemant Dwivedi stated that the organization initiated an inquiry within 24 hours of receiving the complaint. An employee in the counting room was suspended immediately after irregularities were discovered by the inquiry team.

Dwivedi mentioned that the accused employee, Pramod Nautiyal, was suspended from his position as a Personal Assistant due to the ongoing investigation. The temple committee also filed a police report against the employee to ensure a fair investigation process. The Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has formed a probe panel with senior officials to address the matter.

Expressing gratitude for the government’s swift action, Dwivedi emphasized the commitment to conducting a thorough investigation and taking strict action against anyone found guilty. The temple committee remains dedicated to upholding the sanctity of donations made by devotees at the revered site.
