The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed the incident, mentioning the casualties included individuals of Pakistani, Indian, Emirati, and Jordanian nationalities. Earlier, the Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that authorities had swiftly responded to the debris incident on Sweihan street following the missile interception. The response led to the deaths of two unidentified individuals, three injuries, and damage to several vehicles. The ongoing conflict in West Asia, triggered by strikes on Iran, has escalated with retaliatory drone and missile attacks targeting US and Israeli facilities and allied forces in the region.
The UAE’s Ministry of Defence announced that its air defenses were actively countering missile and drone threats from Iran, advising the public to follow safety instructions. The Ministry clarified that the sounds heard were due to the Air Defense Systems intercepting the incoming missiles and drones, emphasizing the ongoing security measures in place.
