Two Baloch armed groups have claimed responsibility for various attacks on Pakistani forces, police posts, and energy infrastructure in Balochistan province. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch stated that the group was behind attacks in Noshki, Panjgur, and Gwadar districts, including an IED attack on Frontier Corps (FC) personnel and the seizure of police posts and weapons. The BLF claimed that two FC personnel were killed and several others injured in an attack on an FC vehicle in Noshki on June 12.
The BLF also took responsibility for an attack in Panjgur district on June 10, resulting in casualties. The group accused the victims of being associated with Pakistani forces and involved in activities against the Baloch nationalist movement. Additionally, the BLF mentioned setting up a checkpoint in Noshki, seizing a police post, and burning official records during a two-hour blockade.
On June 7, BLF fighters established checkpoints in Gwadar district, seizing police posts and confiscating weapons and equipment, including rifles and destroying surveillance cameras. Separately, the Baloch Republican Army (BRA) claimed responsibility for destroying gas wells in Dera Bugti district and attacking an Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) survey team, resulting in casualties. The BRA stated that these actions aimed to halt the extraction of natural resources without Baloch consent.
The BRA accused Pakistani authorities of conducting military operations in Dera Bugti to facilitate oil and gas exploration, leading to civilian casualties, enforced disappearances, and displacement.
