Baloch human rights defender Mir Yar Baloch strongly criticized Pakistan for its comments regarding a recent protest at Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. The Pakistani Foreign Office spokesperson’s remarks during a media briefing in Islamabad were condemned by Mir Yar Baloch as “smear propaganda.” He highlighted the contrast between educational opportunities in India and Pakistan, emphasizing the restrictions faced by Baloch students.

Mir Yar Baloch exposed what he called Pakistan’s “double-faced reality” by sharing videos showing the banning of books and literature in Balochistan. He accused Pakistani forces of seizing books and detaining Baloch students, pointing out the lack of educational freedom in the region. The activist also raised concerns about the mistreatment of Baloch students and youth, alleging arbitrary detentions, torture, and human rights violations.

The Baloch activist further criticized Pakistan for its actions beyond its borders, citing missile strikes in Afghanistan that targeted educational institutions. Mir Yar Baloch expressed alarm over the civilian casualties and humanitarian impact of such attacks, emphasizing the need to address these issues. He highlighted the challenges faced by Baloch individuals who speak out against injustices, pointing to a repressive system that suppresses dissent.
