The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has initiated a global campaign to observe the second anniversary of Baloch Raaji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering) held in Gwadar on July 28, 2024. The BYC emphasized that this event symbolized the united resilience, political awakening, and unwavering determination of the Baloch people. Despite facing severe repression and hardships, thousands of Baloch individuals, including men, women, and children, united to demand justice, dignity, and an end to the ongoing genocide of the Baloch community.
The BYC has launched an archival project to safeguard the memories of the gathering from state censorship and organized a live webinar on the first anniversary of the Baloch National Gathering in 2025. In a statement, the human rights organization declared an extensive global campaign on the occasion of the 2nd Anniversary of Baloch Raaji Muchi to immortalize the events of July 2024, hold oppressors accountable, amplify victims’ voices, and strengthen collective resistance for survival.
Accusing authorities of relying on silence and erasure tactics, the rights group emphasized the importance of preserving memories as an act of resistance. It urged participants and supporters to contribute to the Baloch Raaji Muchi Permanent Digital Archive by sharing detailed accounts, eyewitness testimonies, verified photographs, news coverage, human rights reports, official inquiries, and personal stories of affected families.
