Violence against civilians in Balochistan persists, with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee claiming that three individuals were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces. Aziz Baloch, a 15-year-old rickshaw driver, was reportedly abducted from Quetta’s Saryab Road on July 23. Khalil Ahmed, a 30-year-old laborer, was taken from his home in Nigar, Surab, on July 12 by Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC)/Army. Additionally, Gull Muhammad, a 27-year-old laborer, was allegedly abducted on the same day from Nigar, Surab.
The Baloch Women Forum expressed deep concern over the rising enforced disappearances of civilians, including women and children, in Balochistan. In a recent incident on July 21 in Mastung district, security forces seized six family members from a house in Killi Kongarh area. The victims included Bibi Rafia, her three young children, her brother Muhammad Arif, and her niece Bibi Nida.
The Baloch Women Forum condemned the escalating pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, emphasizing the need for international attention to protect women and children. The forum highlighted the severe impact on families and society when mothers or children are forcibly disappeared, urging human rights organizations to advocate against these abuses by Pakistani authorities.
