Bangladesh’s Nahid Rana and South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt have been awarded the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month titles. Rana earned the men’s honor for his outstanding performance in Bangladesh’s series win against New Zealand, claiming eight wickets with an economy rate of 4.46.
Rana’s standout moment was in the second ODI against New Zealand, where he took 5 for 32, contributing significantly to Bangladesh’s victory. He outshone Oman’s Jatinder Singh and UAE’s Ajay Kumar in the voting process for the award.
On the other hand, Laura Wolvaardt secured her third ICC Player of the Month award in seven months. She displayed consistent brilliance in the white-ball series against New Zealand and India, scoring impressively in both formats. Wolvaardt’s success included a century and three half-centuries against India in a 4-1 series win.
Wolvaardt expressed her joy at winning the award and emphasized her desire to maintain her form. She highlighted the satisfaction of performing well against top teams like the World Cup champions.
