The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi has been honored with the prestigious ‘Tolerance Award 2026’ for its dedication to global peace and promotion of tolerance, mutual respect, and harmony worldwide. The award was presented at the International Dialogue of Civilisations and Tolerance Conference (IDCT 2026), recognizing institutions advocating for tolerance and peaceful co-existence on a global scale.
This accolade not only celebrates the institution but also acknowledges the universal values upheld by the BAPS Hindu Mandir, including humanity, compassion, unity, and mutual respect. Through initiatives like the ‘Festival of Harmony’ and humanitarian aid campaigns, the temple has united individuals from diverse backgrounds, showcasing a model of global brotherhood.
Pujya Brahmavihari Swami, the head of BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, highlighted the importance of family, spirituality, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in his acceptance speech. He emphasized the significance of strong families in building a robust society and nation, drawing from the timeless Indian ideals of Matrudevo Bhava, Pitrudevo Bhava, and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
By emphasizing the tradition of ‘Ghar Sabha’ as a modern social necessity, inspired by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, he underscored the need for daily family gatherings involving prayer, dialogue, and bonding. He concluded by stressing the importance of developing ‘AI-Empowered Families’ over ‘AI-Powered Families’ for a future built on stronger families, compassionate communities, and sensitive hearts.
This recognition signifies the global impact of the BAPS Hindu Temple, acting as a beacon of peace, dialogue, and human unity, fostering connections among cultures, communities, and nations.
