The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed that the second phase of the IPL 2026 season will kick off with a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals on April 13. This phase will feature 50 matches across 12 venues from April 13 to May 24, with the playoffs’ locations to be disclosed later. The league stage will recommence with Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on April 13.
Matches in the second phase will be held in various cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, and more. The schedule includes eight double-headers, with games starting at 3:30 p.m. IST and 7:30 p.m. IST. Teams like Punjab Kings will split their home matches between PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh and HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
Rajasthan Royals will play their remaining matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, while Royal Challengers Bangalore will host games in Bengaluru and Raipur. Notably, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will face each other twice during this phase, with matches scheduled in Mumbai and Chennai. The final group stage match will see Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 24.
