Bengaluru Blasters secured a 20-run victory over Coastal Kings Mangaluru in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 match. The Blasters, batting first, posted a strong total of 226 for six, with significant contributions from their top and middle-order batsmen.
Coastal Kings faced early setbacks in their chase, losing key wickets including that of captain Karun Nair for just 10 runs. Despite the pressure, Suraj Ahuja’s remarkable unbeaten 96 off 38 balls, supported by C.A. Karthik’s 49 not out, provided a late resurgence. The duo’s partnership of 109 runs for the sixth wicket made the match thrilling.
Shubhang Hegde stood out for the Blasters with bowling figures of 2-31, restricting Coastal Kings’ progress. Earlier, KL Shrijith’s 59 off 33 balls set the tone for Bengaluru’s innings, well-supported by contributions from Rohan Patil, Samit Dravid, Shubhang Hegde, and Praveen Dubey, leading to a formidable total.
