Table-toppers Bengaluru Blasters extended their winning streak in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 by defeating Mysore Warriors by eight wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Bengaluru’s eighth win of the season was highlighted by pacer Nischith N Rao’s impressive four-wicket haul and an unbeaten half-century from Krishnan Shrijith.
In pursuit of a target of 149 runs, Bengaluru successfully chased it down in just 14.4 overs with 32 balls to spare. Openers Bhuvan Mohan Raju and Rohan Patil provided a quick start by scoring 47 runs in 3.3 overs before Shrijith and Samit Dravid took charge of the chase, sealing the victory with an unbroken partnership.
Shrijith led the chase with a composed 57 not out off 37 balls, supported by Dravid’s 40 not out off 25 deliveries. With this win, Bengaluru solidified their top position in the standings, reaching 16 points from nine matches and securing a spot in Qualifier 1. Meanwhile, Mysore Warriors sit in fourth place with seven points from nine games, intensifying the competition for the remaining playoff spots.
Bengaluru’s disciplined bowling display restricted Mysore Warriors to 148 all out in 19.4 overs. Rao’s four-wicket haul and contributions from skipper Shubhang Hegde and Dravid limited the opposition to a below-par total. The victory cements Bengaluru’s dominance in the tournament as they head towards the playoffs.
