The 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES) is scheduled to run from January 29 to February 6, as announced by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Prakash Raj, a prominent actor, director, and producer, has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador for this edition. The festival’s inauguration will be held at the grand steps in front of the Vidhana Soudha.

Film screenings will be conducted across 11 screens at Cinepolis in Lulu Mall at Bengaluru’s Rajajinagar. The theme for this year’s festival will center on women empowerment. The submission process for films in the Asian, Indian, and Kannada competitive sections has commenced and has garnered a positive response.

More than 110 films have been submitted across these categories, with a deadline set for December 31, 2025. Apart from Lulu Mall, screenings will also take place at Dr. Rajkumar Bhavan in Chamarajpet and Suchitra Film Society theatres in Banashankari.
