In a remarkable display of determination, Srijana Ghalley from Bhutan, a Foreign Officer Cadet (Women), has chosen a military path over a promising corporate future. Growing up in a modest family in Samtse, Bhutan, her inspiration to join the military was sparked by witnessing an officer in uniform passing through her village during her childhood.

After completing her education and working as a software engineer, Srijana decided to prioritize serving her country over a stable corporate job. She transitioned to the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, where she underwent rigorous training that tested her physical and mental capabilities.

During her nine-month training at OTA, Srijana learned the importance of resilience, camaraderie, and discipline. Commissioned into the Royal Bhutan Army upon completion, she is now prepared to serve her nation with dedication and loyalty, embodying the values instilled during her training.

Srijana Ghalley’s journey from a quiet village in Bhutan to the military grounds in Chennai exemplifies her unwavering commitment to her dream, showcasing courage and determination beyond comfort.
