The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the Class 12 results for 2026, revealing an overall pass rate of 85.19%. Female students surpassed male students, achieving a pass percentage of 86.23% compared to 84.09% for males. Girls secured top positions in both Arts and Commerce streams, while a male student topped the Science stream.

Out of the 26 toppers, 19 are girls and 7 are boys. Aditya Prakash Aman from Samastipur clinched the top spot in the Science stream with 96.20%, while Neetu Kumari from Gaya topped the Arts stream with 95.8%. Aditi Kumari from St. Xavier’s High School in Patna led the Commerce stream with 480 marks.

The top five ranks in the Science stream featured six students, including Aditya Prakash Aman, Sakshi Kumari, Sapna Kumari, Anamika Kumari, Satyam Kumar, and Palak Kumari. In the Arts stream, 13 students secured top ranks, and seven students excelled in the Commerce stream.

Nearly 13.17 lakh students appeared for the exams held between February 2 and February 13 across 1,762 centers. The verification of toppers was completed five days before the results were announced. The BSEB has a track record of releasing results ahead of other boards for the eighth consecutive year, attributed to examination system reforms and technology integration for faster result processing.
