The Bihar Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, greenlit 13 agenda items in a recent meeting at the Main Secretariat. The focus was on healthcare, industrial growth, skill training, fisheries, social welfare, and infrastructure projects. Notably, the Cabinet raised the financial aid limit under the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh, benefiting economically disadvantaged patients.
The Cabinet allocated Rs 31.30 crore for establishing an Integrated Aqua Park at the Banasur Fish Seed Farm in Bhojpur district to enhance the state’s aquaculture sector. Additionally, an investment of Rs 83.25 crore was approved for a grain storage and processing unit in Madhubani district, expected to create 109 job opportunities. Moreover, a capital investment of Rs 483.51 crore was sanctioned for a beverage manufacturing unit in Buxar district, aiming to generate employment for 400 workers.
Furthermore, the Cabinet endorsed the creation of 38 posts for a new Industrial Training Institute in Aurangabad district, with an annual expenditure of Rs 2.11 crore. It also approved the Bihar Child Development Service Recruitment and Service Conditions (Amendment) Rules, 2026, to fill 136 posts through the promotion of female supervisors. The Cabinet’s decisions also included authorizing the use of soil and silt for land-filling at the site designated for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Darbhanga.
