Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary inaugurated the ‘Patna Joy Ride’ as part of the Bihar Heli-Tourism and Air Tourism Scheme-2026. This initiative aims to promote aerial tourism in the state by offering residents and visitors panoramic views of Patna from the sky. During the launch event at the State Hangar in Patna, the Chief Minister flagged off the first helicopter joy ride and handed over tickets to the inaugural group of tourists.
The event also saw the felicitation of four newly licensed commercial pilots with Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) certificates. The pilots, namely Captain Kumar Dhairya, Captain Genius Vivek, Captain Karan Kumar Bharti, and Captain Sonal Man Singh, were encouraged by the Chief Minister to explore careers in aviation. He highlighted the vast opportunities and global potential in the aviation sector for Bihar’s youth.
Samrat Chaudhary emphasized that the Bihar Heli-Tourism and Air Tourism Scheme-2026 is set to revitalize tourism in the state. By providing aerial views of historical, religious, cultural, and natural attractions, the initiative aims to boost tourism, attract investments, create employment opportunities, ensure safe flying experiences for tourists, and enhance Bihar’s reputation as a growing tourism hub.
