Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has emphasized the need for swift action against criminals who challenge the police, stating that such individuals should face strict measures within 48 hours. He reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating crime and enhancing governance in Bihar. Speaking at an event in Patna, he pledged to modernize and strengthen the Bihar Police force, with a willingness to allocate additional funds if necessary.
The Chief Minister stressed a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and corruption, declaring that no leniency would be shown in dealing with these issues. He commended the efforts of police personnel and highlighted the importance of a well-equipped and motivated police force for effective policing and governance. Choudhary also noted the significant increase in the strength of the Bihar Police, particularly with the substantial contribution of around 30,000 women officers.
Furthermore, he underlined the crucial role of a secure law-and-order environment in attracting industries, investments, and economic growth to Bihar. The Chief Minister announced plans to attract investments totaling Rs 5 lakh crore by November and highlighted the government’s focus on industrial expansion and revenue system reforms to boost the state’s earnings. During the event, families of deceased police personnel received insurance payouts as a token of appreciation for their sacrifices and service.
