Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar initiated the commencement of 89 projects, inaugurated 47 projects, and kickstarted work on 36 additional projects in Muzaffarpur district as part of his ongoing Samriddhi Yatra. During his visit to Muzaffarpur, the Chief Minister engaged with various departmental stalls, interacted with beneficiaries of government schemes, and conversed with local villagers in a public dialogue program.
He emphasized the accomplishments of his government and outlined the future development plans for Bihar. Nitish Kumar also oversaw the progress of various ongoing projects in the district, urging officials to accelerate construction activities to meet set deadlines. Additionally, he inspected the widening work from Chandni Chowk to Barkhi Path and the Road Over Bridge (ROB) project in Muzaffarpur, providing necessary directives to the concerned officials.
The Chief Minister further inaugurated construction and renovation works at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) premises in Muzaffarpur. At the event, he disbursed cheques to chosen beneficiaries under different government schemes. Nitish Kumar convened a high-level meeting of district officials at the Mini Secretariat building, stressing the importance of corruption-free governance and a citizen-centric approach in government offices.
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, senior state officials, and other dignitaries were present during the occasion. The ongoing Samriddhi Yatra, which commenced on January 16, has covered several districts including West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Gopalganj, Saran, Siwan, and Muzaffarpur, with the inauguration of development projects worth substantial amounts.
The first phase of the Samriddhi Yatra will run until January 24, with the Chief Minister’s visit to Vaishali scheduled as the concluding event. The subsequent phase of the Samriddhi Yatra is set to begin on January 27, with Nitish Kumar planning visits to districts like Madhubani and Darbhanga.
