Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar recently performed a Satyanarayan Puja at his newly assigned official residence on 5 Desh Ratna Marg in Patna. The ceremony, held on Jyeshtha Purnima, was attended by family members, including former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The event coincided with ongoing changes in the allocation of official residences in Patna. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also conducted a Satyanarayan Puja at his official residence on the same day, marking the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Purnima.
Following the ceremony, Nishant Kumar shared with the media that the housewarming was in celebration of his new government bungalow. He expressed his intention to split his time between the new residence and his father’s house, emphasizing the significance of family participation in the rituals.
The newly allotted bungalow on 5 Desh Ratna Marg holds significance as a prominent government residence in Patna’s VVIP area. Originally designated for the Assembly Speaker, the bungalow became available to the Health Minister after Samrat Choudhary vacated it.
Nishant Kumar’s relocation to the new government bungalow is part of a broader trend of senior political figures and their families changing residences in Patna. This move adds to the evolving political landscape in Bihar, alongside other notable shifts in official accommodations.
The Health Minister also addressed ongoing inspections and initiatives by the Health Department in hospitals across Bihar. He emphasized the importance of maintaining quality healthcare services through continued raids and inspections in both public and private healthcare facilities to ensure optimal treatment for all residents.
