Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey, also serving as the BJP’s election in-charge for West Bengal, expressed optimism about the party’s success in the state. Speaking at Patna Airport, he highlighted dissatisfaction among people towards the governance of the Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, advocating for a “double-engine government” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pandey accused the Trinamool Congress leadership of targeting the Election Commission and the BJP due to pre-election apprehensions.
Amid concerns over political developments in Bihar and speculations regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Pandey affirmed the unity of all leaders under his guidance, refuting claims of internal pressures. As global tensions involving Israel, the United States, and Iran escalate, worries regarding petroleum and gas supplies have emerged. However, the Indian government has reassured the public of sufficient reserves of oil and gas, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely monitoring the international situation.
Pandey reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment to ensuring an uninterrupted fuel supply across the nation, emphasizing the government’s readiness to make essential decisions for energy security. Dismissing opposition concerns as baseless, he assured that the government would act in the national interest to safeguard citizens’ welfare. The ongoing conflict among the US, Israel, and Iran has persisted for over a month.
