The candidates elected unopposed as Members of Legislative Council (MLC) in Bihar have expressed gratitude to their party leadership for the trust placed in them. Minister Nishant Kumar, son of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, stated his commitment to continuing his father’s developmental legacy. All ten candidates who filed nominations for the Bihar Legislative Council elections have been elected unopposed, including nine vacant seats and one by-election seat.
Minister Nishant Kumar emphasized his dedication to women’s empowerment and furthering developmental initiatives in health and education. JD-U leader Lalan Prasad, elected from the seat previously held by Nitish Kumar, pledged to address incomplete projects across the state. Ashraf Ansari from Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and vowed to strengthen it further.
BJP leader Sanjay Mayukh thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Nitin Nabin, and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary for their confidence in him. RJD leader Sunil Singh highlighted the trust bestowed upon him by party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav. Singh emphasized their commitment to raising key issues in the House despite their limited numbers.
BJP candidate and Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh was also elected unopposed, reflecting the smooth election process in Bihar. The winning MLCs are determined to fulfill their responsibilities and advocate for various societal concerns in the legislative arena.
